1st Day (5-14-08)
RFTW

Finish packing my bike, head down I-15 north. Meet up with Mustang at McDonalds on Hidden Valley Road, Norco. Ride on to the Victoria Gardens Mall, Rancho Cucamonga.
Bikes are staged for the ride. Breakfast goodies everywhere. Eggs, potatoes, ham, coffee, orange juice, donuts, all excellent. Also water and snacks for the ride.

First pre-ride meeting held. Rules of the ride and every possible road situation talked about and gone over. Honor Guard set, Pledge of Allegiance, and a Prayer.

and motorcycles making this trip.

The 400+ motorcycles head out to travel 70 miles for the first gas stop in Barstow. Leaving Barstow, 58 miles to Ludlow. Gas in Ludlow, on to Needles,103 miles.

Lunch at Veterans Park, Needles, CA. Hamburgers and all the fixins. Very good. Warm reception.

Needles to Kingman, AZ (78 miles) for gas.

Kingman to Williams AZ. (101 miles) for fuel and dinner at the American Legion Post 13.

Wonderful reception at Williams along with a fine dinner.

Mustang and I find our hotel and bed down for the night.

Total, 410 miles for the day.



Note: Additional riders will join up as we pass through towns across the United States. Quite a few new riders joined up in Williams.

Viet Nam war birds (Huey Helicopters), will escort riders from California to the Wall, Washington D.C.
